Notice of a Public Hearing
The Yucaipa Sustainable Groundwater Management Agency will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at its regular board meeting to consider adoption of Ordinance No. 2026-01. This ordinance establishes rules for tracking groundwater allocations, unused pumping credits, and supplemental water in the Yucaipa Subbasin.
The draft ordinance is available for review on the Agency’s website at www.yucaipasgma.org.
Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting and provide written comments.
The Yucaipa SGMA board meeting will be held at the City of Yucaipa, 34272 Yucaipa Boulevard, Yucaipa at 10:30 am.

The Yucaipa Sustainable Groundwater Management Agency (Yucaipa SGMA) was formed in 2017 in response to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act signed into law by Governor Jerry Brown on September 16, 2014. The Yucaipa SGMA consists of the following eight partners that act as the board of directors of the regional agency:

Cities
State Water Contractors
San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District
San Gorgonio Pass Water Agency
Regional Stakeholders
County of Riverside - Flood Control and Water Conservation
County of San Bernardino - Flood Control and Public Works
The goal of the Yucaipa Sustainable Groundwater Management Agency is to cooperatively manage the local groundwater resources in the Yucaipa Subbasin. By protecting the long-term beneficial use of our groundwater resources, the Yucaipa Subbasin will continue to be a sustainable groundwater aquifer used by retail water agencies and private well owners while protecting the riparian habitat along San Timoteo Creek.
